Reading manager Steve Clarke has been given the go ahead by the club’s Thai owners to start bringing in some players, according to Get Reading reporter Charles Watts.
Clarke spoke out this week over some pending deals that could be coming in over the next few weeks, and he said that he wanted to bring in some players before the club’s pre-season in Thailand.
Former Hull City players Stephen Quinn and Paul McShane are believed to be two of the ‘two or three deals’ Clarke is looking to push over the line, although there’s still a lot to be done.
He’s been waiting for the nod from the clubs Thai owners to bring in his players, and has reportedly been told he can.
The former West Bromwich Albion manager is looking to rebuild his Reading squad this summer after a shocking season last year, but is yet to be given his transfer budget for the summer, meaning he needs permission for each signing he makes.
