Defensive duo at Reading, captain Liam Moore and right-back Andy Yiadom, are both wary of a potential suspension coming their way with the deadline for yellow card accumulations approaching.

The Royals pair have both picked up four yellow cards so far this campaign, meaning that they are both one booking away from suspension at a crucial part of Reading's season.

However, in the Championship, the bookings automatically reset after the 19th game, which happens to be the first weekend of December this season.

The Royals pair therefore need to avoid getting booked over the course of the next four games, starting with Luton Town at The Madejski Stadium this weekend, before travelling to Brentford after the international break.

The Royals then host Leeds United and travel to Wigan Athletic before the yellow cards cut off.

FA rules then go on to state that if a player picks up 10 yellow cards following the 37th game of the season, which is towards the end of March, a two-month suspension will be served by the player.

Two players who are also close to walking on the thin tight-rope of bookings before suspensions are forward Lucas Boye and central midfielder Andy Rinomhota, who are both on three bookings.

The Verdict

Moore, being the captain, and Yiadom are both vital to how Reading play, and have been pivotal in the last couple of weeks during Mark Bowen's opening games as Royals manager.

The pair have a tightrope to walk now over the next four games and Bowen will be insisting that the pair try their utmost to picking up any silly bookings.
