Reading and Leeds to face stiff competition from Premier League to sign prolific striker

Premier League strugglers Hull and Swansea City have joined Reading in the race for prolific League Two striker Omar Bogle, according to GetReading.

The 23-year-old has been tracked by a number of Championship clubs, but now it seems Royals manager Jaap Stam will face competition for the services of the Grimsby Town forward.

As the January transfer window deadline looms ever closer, the price of Bogle seemingly increases and the Mariners value their key asset to nearly £1 million.

As well as the top-flight duo, Stam will have to fight off rivals Norwich City and Leeds United to land former Birmingham City youth player.

Omar Bogle has added 19 goals this year to the 16 he scored for Grimsby last season as the League Two outfit lie three points outside the play-offs in 12th.

Reading, along with their competitors, may be in for a bidding war over the next 30 or so hours as they look to strengthen their forward line before the 11pm deadline tomorrow.

Royals fans, do you think Jaap Stam can persuade Omar Bogle to sign on at the Madejski or is the temptation of the Premier League too much? Is the striker worth £1 million, in your opinion? Let us hear your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
