Things are far from blowing over concerning the alleged stamp that Tyrone Mings inflicted on Nelson Oliveira during the weekend.

Reading hosted Aston Villa at the Madejski Stadium in what proved to be a 0-0 draw but much of the talk has concerned the pair's coming together.

After getting tangled, Mings' foot landed right on Oliveira's face - leaving him with some nasty lacerations to the face and in need of a trip to hospital.

It really didn't look good, and many have levelled it at Mings that it was intentional - something that he has sought to deny in apologising on social media.

The investigation has finished with no further conduct set to happen, though, but Micky Gray has offered his take on it all with these comments via talkSPORT...

The Verdict

Initial impressions suggested that it did look rather forceful but you cannot know what is actually going through someone's mind at the time.

An investigation into it has concluded with no further action but what might not help Mings is that he's already been reprimanded for similar involving Zlatan Ibrahimovic when it comes to fans actually accepting the decision.

The FA have put it to bed but you feel as though we haven't yet heard the last of it.
