Nottingham Forest midfielder Gil Dias has given fans a glimpse of what they can expect with a wonder goal in their friendly with Malaga this morning.

The on-loan Monaco man is out in Spain with the squad on a pre-season tour and whetted fans' appetite with a wonder goal, tweeted by Sam Cooke.

In the short clip, the 21-year old picks up the ball in the middle of the park before beating five defenders with a combination of raw pace, power and skill.

He then rounds the move off with a smart finish to raise fans' expectations just a little more.

The Portuguese U21 international arrived on loan from the French side at the end of June, having spent a season in Serie A with Fiorentina.

Forest have an option to buy him at the end of the loan spell, should it prove to be a success.

Forest won the game against Malaga 3-0, with Ben Osborn and fellow new signing Hillal Soudani grabbing the other two goals.

The Verdict

Dias was one of the shock moves of the early summer and today he showed exactly why.

His determined run and confident finish bellied his tender years and only gave Forest fans further cause for excitement.

Doing it in pre-season in friendly matches is one thing, but how will he fair on a wet and windy night in Stoke? Forest fans can't wait to find out.
