After an extremely disappointing season in the Championship last term, Ipswich Town have made a very promising start to life in League One.

Paul Lambert's side have set the pace at the top of the table and are currently four points clear of second-placed Wycombe Wanderers with a game in hand.

The Tractor Boys have won eight of their eleven league matches this season, have the strongest defence in the division and remain the only team in the league with an unbeaten record.

Lambert will be very impressed with what he's seen from his players so far this season and will be hoping that his team can continue their momentum after the international break.

According to WhoScored.com, here are the top three Ipswich players with the best pass success ratio in League One so far this season...

3. Jon Nolan

In third place is Jon Nolan. The 27-year-old was an important player for Ipswich in the Championship last season and the midfielder has made an encouraging start to the new campaign.

After missing the first five league matches of the season, Nolan has started every league game for Ipswich since and has impressed in midfield, scoring two goals.

He has a pass success rate of 81.3% and has made an average of 32 passes per game.

2. Kane Vincent-Young

Kane Vincent-Young has been an extremely important player for Ipswich since joining from Colchester United. The right-back has made seven appearances in League One and has impressed with his performances so far, scoring two goals.

The 23-year-old clearly has a lot of potential and if his early-season performances are anything to go by, he could have a very important role to play in Town's promotion push this season.

He has made an average of 34.9 passes per game and has a pass success rate of 85.7%.

1. Will Keane

Somewhat surprisingly, the player with the best pass success rate at Ipswich in League One this season is Will Keane.

The 26-year-old was an important player for Ipswich in the Championship last season and scored three goals in his twelve appearances for the Tractor Boys while on loan from Hull City.

After returning to Portman Road on a permanent deal in the summer, Keane has made just two league appearances for Ipswich, with both of them coming from the bench.

Even though he's struggled for opportunities in the team, Keane has the highest pass success rate of any Ipswich player this season, which is an example of how passing stats can sometimes not tell the full story.

During his two outings from the bench, he averaged 12 passes per game, with a pass success rate of 91.7%.
