Swindon Town's academy has proved rather successful in recent years.

A number of players who have come through the youth ranks with the Robins, have gone on to enjoy significant and potentially still promising careers in the Football League.

But just which individuals who learned at least part of their trade in the club's academy, are now worth the most.

Here, in order to help find out, we've taken a look at the five players with the highest current market value, according to Transfermarkt, to have spent time in Swindon's academy.

=3: Kayden Jackson

Jackson's time in the Swindon academy was rather different to most, with the centre forward spending time in their development team as part of Samsung's Win a Pro Contract competiton in 2013.

Although he was successful in earning a deal for the Robins, he was then released in 2014 without making a first-team appearance, but after time in non-league, he managed to work his way back into the EFL with spells at Grimbsy - on loan from Barnsley - and Accrington.

He then joined current club Ipswich in 2018, with the 28-year-old now looking to help the Tractor Boys win promotion back to the Championship, with a current value of €300,000.

=3: Billy Bodin

After coming through the academy at Swindon, Bodin made his first-team debut for the Robins as an 18-year-old in 2010.

As well as loan spells with Torquay and Crewe, he made 16 appearances and scored three goals for Swindon, before returning to Torquay on a permanent basis in 2012. Since then, Bodin has played across the Football League with Northampton, Bristol Rovers and Preston, before joining Oxford last summer.

He has since become a regular for the U's, with his experiences earning the 30-year-old a valuation of €300,000.

=3: Nathan Thompson

Coming through the youth ranks at Swindon, Thompson made his debut for the club in 2010, and went on to make 187 appearances in all competitions for the Robins.

The centre back left for Portsmouth in 2017, before joining his current club Peterborough two years later, and helping them win promotion to the Championship in 2021, although that was followed up by relegation just one season later.

Having now made over 100 appearances for the Posh as an important part of their backline, Thompson is another with a valuation of €300,000.

2: Lukas Jutkiewicz

After joining Swindon's youth ranks in 2004, Jutkiewicz made his debut for the club as a 17-year-old in April 2006, and went on to score five goals in 42 appearances for the Robins.

That was enough to earn the striker a move to Everton in 2007, though he only ever made one appearance for the Toffees, before spending the majority of his career in the Football League with the likes of Coventry, Middlesbrough, Huddersfield, Bolton and Burnley.

He eventually joined Birmingham in 2016, and has been there ever since, scoring 58 goals in 273 games for the Blues to date, meaning the 33-year-old is now valued at €500,000.

1. Scott Twine

After joining Swindon's academy setup in 2013, Twine signed his first professional contract with the Robins in 2017, making his debut not long after.

His form both for Swindon and on loan at Newport - which included some stunning strikes - earned him move to MK Dons in 2021 when his contract at The County Ground expired, and his spectacular impact for the club in League One saw him step up to the Championship with Burnley just a year later.

Injuries have so far prevented the attacker from really making an impact at Turf Moor, but at 23-years-old, Twine still holds a valuation of €2.5million.
