Queens Park Rangers will look to finish this season on a high note with their final two games of the campaign as they look to secure a top-eight finish.

It's been a season of real progression for the west London club with the start of the campaign far from ideal as they hung around near the bottom places in the league.

However, a turnaround in form in 2021 has been impressive and they are certainly one of the sides to watch this summer as they look to build on what they've done this year and really have a go at the play-offs next season.

It remains to be seen, then, who they bring in and who sticks around in the current squad for next year with Mark Warburton obviously needing to make decisions.

With that in mind, we're taking a look at ten of the longest-serving players currently at the club as we head towards another summer window...

Todd Kane is in tenth place.

The wing-back has been at QPR since the summer of 2019 with him joining in July of that year from west London rivals Chelsea.

He never really managed to get himself into the Blues' first-team set-up and spent time on loan at the likes of Hull City before eventually making a permanent move to QPR.

He had been a regular this season for the Hoops but in recent weeks we've seen Osman Kakay keep him out of the team.

Geoff Cameron is in ninth place having been at the club for a whole two days longer than Todd Kane.

July 2019 saw Cameron join on the 25th before Kane arrived on the 27th with the American arriving from Stoke City.

A player that can play in midfield and in defence, we've seen the American do both this season for QPR.

He started off in midfield for Rangers this season, in fact, but dropped into defence as Warburton went to a back-three.

In recent weeks, however, he has seen game time drop away with the likes of Jordy de Wijs, Sam Field and Stefan Johansen arriving.

Dom Ball is up next on our list with him joining from Rotherham United.

Like Cameron and Kane, Ball joined in July 2019 but he arrived at the start of the month and so has that extra few weeks on the other pair.

Ball is a player that enjoyed a lot of game time at the start of this season but, as with Cameron, his game-time has dropped a little bit with the likes of Stefan Johansen and Sam Field arriving.

He's a player that will always get himself involved in the midfield battle and never shys away from getting his foot in whilst he also scored a cracker at home to Cardiff this season.

Yoann Barbet is up next with him edging out Ball by just a day.

Whilst Ball joined from Rotherham United on July 2nd, Barbet arrived on the first of the month from west London rivals Brentford.

Barbet has been a regular ever since and has racked up the appearances this season, with him looking very much at home in a three-man defence.

He plays on the left hand side of the defensive three and that allows him to play on his natural side with his left foot.

Another left-sided player is level with Barbet in terms of how long he has been at the club; Lee Wallace.

Wallace arrived from Rangers on the same day as Barbet and has also really flourished since Mark Warburton changed to a 3-5-2 earlier this season.

The former Rangers man is no slouch getting up and down the left-hand side and he has earned a number of assists this year as he bombs towards the by-line.

Certainly, he appears to be enjoying a real purple patch of form at the moment and he'll be eager to keep that up next season.

Ilias Chair is up next with him signing at the end of the January transfer window in 2017 after a trial period.

He didn't make his senior debut until the August of that year - effectively the next season - but he has been at the club a while now and this season has been his best yet.

He's still a little raw in places but it's clear he's got real talent and he's a player that looks to be only going one way.

Certainly, Rangers will want to keep him for next season as they look to mount a play-off challenge.

Seny Dieng arrived in August 2016 but it's perhaps only this last year that we have really seen him become a Queens Park Rangers player.

He's spent time out on loan at different clubs during his Hoops career but got the nod for this season as neither Joe Lumley nor Liam Kelly did enough to nail down the first-team spot.

Indeed, he's not looked back from there on in and has been a superb stopper this season for the Rangers - though he did make a rare mistake in the defeat at home to Norwich at the weekend.

Even so, he's become one of the better goalkeepers in the division.

Osman Kakay arrived in 2015 as a young player and has worked his way up.

He's battled with Todd Kane for the starting spot this season at both right-back and right-wing-back and is currently enjoying a longer spell in the side at the moment.

Kakay still has plenty to learn but will be eager to do exactly that and we've also seen him used as a right-centre-back when QPR have needed to shift things around in recent weeks.

Certainly, the Kane v Kakay battle is one to watch going forwards.

Niko Hamalainen has been at the club since September 2014 after a successful trial and has spent a lot of time learning and coming through the youth set-up.

We've seen him feature at times this season on the left of defence but he has largely been kept out by Lee Wallace - particularly in recent weeks.

The Finnish international will be eager to show Mark Warburton he is good enough to be involved in the seasons to come but time will tell if the manager thinks similar.

Joe Lumley arrived as a youth player in the summer of 2010 after Tottenham opted to let him go.

The goalkeeper spent three years in the Hoops' set-up at youth level before moving up to the first-team and since then we have seen him in and out of the side as a goalkeeper.

As mentioned, Seny Dieng is currently the club's number 1 but Lumley has had to fill in of late with Dieng recently getting suspended and also rested after international duty.

Lumley did a good job in those games, too, so that will only boost his confidence.
