Hibs are on course for a third-place finish this term, which given Rangers and Celtic's recent domination of Scottish football is an impressive feat.

Jack Ross will no doubt be hoping to build on his squad in the summer and may feel that with Celtic looking weak this term, a top-two finish or even a title challenge may be possible next season.

But how does the current manager compare to previous bosses in terms of PPG?

We've scoured Transfersmarkt's records to compile a list that ranks Hibs managers by their PPG, including only those whose full stats are available...

Colin Calderwood lasted just 13 months in charge of Hibs, joining in October 2011 and leaving in November the following year.

He took charge of the club in 49 games and finished with a PPG of just 1.

The Finnish manager joined midway through the 2007/08 season, arriving at the club in January 2008.

His first season was a success but the second was a disappointment and Mixu Paatelainen left after the 2009/10 campaign, finishing with a PPG 0f 1.27.

After impressing in his six years in charge of Falkirk, John Hughs was named Hibs boss ahead of the 2009/10 season.

His first season was a success, seeing the club qualify for the Europa League, but left in October x after a poor run of results – meaning he finished with a PPG of 1.28.

After taking over in November 2011, Pat Fenlon led Hibs to SPFL survival in his debut season with the club.

He would spend two years at Easter Road in total, resigning in November 2013 with a PPG of 1.30.

The current Blackburn Rovers manager spent two years at Easter Road, joining in May 2004 and leaving in October 2006.

In that time he took charge 72 times and finished with a PPG of 1.32.

John Collins came through the club's academy and made more than 150 appearances as a player before he returned to take charge at Hibs in 2006, in what was his first role in management.

Collins led them to their first domestic trophy in 15 years by winning the League Cup but left in 2007 after a disagreement with the board, finishing with a PPG of 1.44.

The current Sheffield United boss' stint at Hibs wasn't particularly long, seeing him appointed in February 2019 and departing in November that year.

Paul Heckingbottom finished his time with the club with a PPG of 1.44.

Neil Lennon may have left the club in unusual circumstances but he certainly had success at the Scottish club.

Lennon won the Scottish Championship and secured promotion back to the SPFL. He finished his tenure with a PPG of 1.73.

The current gaffer features joint-second on our list, having won 32 and drawn 13 of his 63 games in charge – giving him a PPG of 1.73.

Ross will be hoping to improve that as his tenure at Easter Road continues.

By ending Hibs' 114-year wait for a Scottish Cup triumph, Alan Stubbs etched his name into the club's history books and it's no surprise to see him top this list.

The Englishman twice took the club to the Scottish Championship play-offs, reached the League Cup and won the Scottish Cup in his two seasons in charge, finishing with a PPG of 1.94.
