The kit release at the start of every season is always an exciting time for any football supporter, with some kits becoming more memorable than others.

The same can be said for Luton Town as they have released some kits that were loved by their fans while other kits have struggled to be sold.

Here, we take a look at the best five Luton kits that the Hatters have donned over the years...

The Luton home shirt from almost 30 seasons ago was one that was liked by the Hatters supporters.

The shirt contained blue sleeves and shorts while the main area of the shirt was white, the colour that the shirt had been before. There was also a tinge of orange included in small areas as well, a combination of previous colours.

The Luton kit from the 1965-1966 season is simplistic, but the white continues to be resembled in the current kit.

While the kit may have been a nightmare to wash after games, many fans of the older generations would have been fond of this kit at the time.

This season's Luton kit has all the colours that the Hatters have worn in the past plastered on the kit.

Of course, the main colour is orange however the sleeves are a throwback to when Luton used to have an all-white shirt, and the blue shorts are similar to the ones 30 years ago.

In 2010, Luton released a special anniversary kit that commemorated the Hatters being around for 25 years.

The kit was worn three times across the season as Luton wore it against Great Marlow in a friendly, against Altrincham on the first day of the season and against Bath City in October.

The 1973-1974 home kit for the Hatters is a throwback to the older generation, as it was the first season that Luton had their well-known orange strip.

With no club crest and a strip down the left-hand side of the shirt made up of white and dark blue, the shirt showed the colours that Luton home kits had been in the past as well as using their famous orange.
