The last five years or so have seen some serious ups and downs at Leeds United as they search for a return to the Premier League for the first time since 2004.

Leeds sit in the automatic promotion places in the Championship heading into this weekend, with Marcelo Bielsa looking to be the man to, finally, deliver a promotion the club have craved.

In Leeds’ period out of the Premier League, the overhaul of the squad has been remarkable and even now there is a settled playing squad, the turnover of players goes on.

Here, we take a unique look at the Leeds squad and, with a little help from transfermarkt, identify SIX players who have seen their valuation drop during their spell at Elland Road…

Berardi is Leeds’ longest serving player and when he arrived at Elland Road, he was valued at £450k.

Now, he’s valued at £360k, which is a £90k drop in value.

The young French goalkeeper is at Leeds on loan and is valued at £4.05m.

When he arrived in West Yorkshire, he was valued at £4.5m, which is a slight decrease of £450k.

Another goalkeeper on this list is former Real Madrid man Casilla.

He was valued at £2.7m, but he’s seen that decrease to £1.8m on the back of some patchy form.

The 35-year-old has naturally seen his value decrease due to his age, not form.

He’s valued at £1.08m, which does seem low still, but he was valued at only £2.25m before joining Leeds in 2016.

Augustin is a high-profile member of Leeds’ squad and is valued at £8.55m on transfermarkt.

That’s decreased by £4.05m since he arrived in Leeds, which has to be down to the fact he’s hardly featured and has struggled with injury.

The biggest fall in value comes from winger Helder Costa.

When he arrived in Leeds he was valued at £13.5m, but that’s dropped by £6.3m.

Now, he’s valued at £7.2m.
