The 2017/18 campaign has been a disappointing one for Leeds United, with the Whites failing to mount the play-off push many expected.

The first-half of the season was terrific for Leeds, who topped the table after seven fixtures and managed to stay in contention for the play-offs up until Christmas, despite some indifferent form over October and November.

Following Boxing Day’s victory over Burton Albion, Leeds were well placed for the play-offs, but since then, their push for the top-six has faltered.

Leeds have recorded just three victories in 2018, which leaves them 12thin the Championship table, with two fixtures of the season remaining.

Now under the coaching of Paul Heckingbottom, Leeds face Norwich City and Queens Park Rangers in the coming weeks, with supporters at Elland Road counting down the days until the end of the season.

Here at FLW, we take a look at Leeds’ squad, ranking their THREE best players from the season so far…

Saiz’s form since Christmas has been really poor, which is perhaps why Leeds haven’t maintained their excellent start to the season.

During the first-half of the season, even during Leeds’ poor run, Saiz was terrific, proving to be a constant threat and adding goals and assists.

Of course, his form during the second-half of the season might make him a shock inclusion in this line-up, but you can’t deny the impact he had prior to Christmas.

Jansson hasn’t been anywhere near his best this season, but whoscored.com’s average ratings for the season leave him as one of only three players to score a higher average than 7/10.

Leeds’ supporters might’ve been unimpressed by some of Jansson’s efforts this season, but it is scary to think where Leeds might be without the Swedish international.

Jansson has a higher averaging rating than Hernandez with whoscored.com for the season, but it impossible not to class the Spaniard as Leeds’ Player of the Year.

The 33-year-old has been terrific, with nine goals and eight assists across all competitions.

Whilst Jansson’s effort has been questioned at times and Saiz’s form has dipped during the second-half of the season, Hernandez has been so consistent and always given his all.
