Swansea City have had a plethora of gifted players in the last decade that have had natural talents.

Brendan Rodgers, Michael Laudrup and Garry Monk led Swansea to some historic Premier League finishes.

The club are traditionally a club of the second and third tier, so the elongated stay in the top flight was certainly a memorable era.

Over that time, Swansea had some players that the big clubs looked at as potential purchases, due to their capabilities at the Liberty Stadium.

Joe Allen was a very naturally gifted talent, who was nicknamed things like ‘The Welsh Pirlo’ on the back of Pirlo’s exploits in the European Championships in prior seasons.

Allen was effortlessly wonderful in the midfield and remains a Swansea legend.

Gylfi Sigurdsson is probably the best player from Swansea’s time in the Premier League and his departure set in motion a poor season that ended in relegation.

The Icelandic international was the go-to player for Swansea when they needed a good performance, he is sorely missed.

Scott Sinclair was incredibly talented – and still is – but his time at Swansea will potentially be the highlight of his career.

Since leaving, he failed at Manchester City, and has gone on to win multiple trophies for Celtic, but Swansea was where Sinclair made his name in the best league in the world.
