Sheffield United occupy the final play-off spot as we head into the crucial Easter period, with Paul Heckingbottom's side firmly in the hunt for promotion.

It has been a rollercoaster season so far for the Blades, who began the campaign with Slavisa Jokanovic before turning to Heckingbottom after an underwhelming start under the former Fulham chief.

Since the current boss was put in place, he has reverted to what the players knew, adopting a back three that so many of the group are familiar with.

That's worked too, with a fine run of form seeing the Yorkshire outfit push up the table. Given the quality they have, many will see Sheffield United as serious contenders to win the play-offs if they secure a top six finish.

And, with that in mind, we look at the top TEN most valuable players at Bramall Lane, as per Transfermarkt who put these figures on the players...

Tenth on the list is John Fleck, who is given a £3.6m valuation, which may seem cheap but he is now 30-years-old.

The midfielder has been a brilliant servant for the Blades over the years, impressing with his energy and quality in the middle of the park.

Pleasingly for Heckingbottom, the Scotsman seems to be rediscovering his best form now, and he could have a big say in their promotion push if he maintains these levels.

Next up is another player who was crucial to the Blades' rise under former boss Chris Wilder - defender Jack O'Connell.

Unfortunately, the past few years have been really tough for the left-footer, as he has been out injured with serious knee problems.

That has obviously impacted his value, which is put as £4.5m. In truth, it's hard to say what he's worth but if O'Connell had stayed fit then he would be worth a lot more and probably still playing in the Premier League because he was superb when he played.

Another with a £4.5m rating is George Baldock.

He was also pivotal to Wilder's side, impressing with his energy and quality down the right flank, with the back three system really allowing him to flourish.

There are doubts about his long-term future, as Jayden Bogle has provided fierce competition for Baldock, with reports claiming that Olympiacos are keen to sign the 29-year-old. If that does happen, it will be interesting to see what sort of fee Baldock commands.

We've mentioned Bogle above, and the right wing-back had really started to show his worth before his season was cut short through injury.

At 21, his best years are in front of him and the £5.4m valuation does seem on the cheap side considering his ability and potential.

All at Bramall Lane will be hoping that the former Derby County man could become a key player in the future and he is another who will have benefited from the formation switch, which gets the best out of his attacking instincts.

The Croatian international was brought in from Rubin Kazan last month on a deal until the end of the season, and it's fair to say he has already shown in a handful of games why he would have a valuation of £6.3m.

Uremovic has been a commanding figure in the back three, with his strength and reading of the game particularly impressive.

It remains to be seen what happens with the defender in the future, but the early signs are positive that he could play an important role in their promotion push.

Having been bought in a deal that would be worth around £20m, the fact McBurnie is given a valuation of £6.3m shows how his stock has fallen in recent years.

That's understandable in fairness, as the Scotsman has struggled for goals, which has prompted some criticism from sections of the support in recent weeks.

However, he has the full backing of Heckingbottom and he has shown that there is a lot to his game with his ability to hold the ball up and play for the team, so he will still be pivotal as they look to go up.

The third player on the list to have a £6.3m valuation is defender Egan.

The Irishman has been integral to the Blades since arriving from Brentford and his true value to Sheffield United is much more than that figure.

Egan has been a reliable, strong performer and he holds the defence together at times in the middle of the back three. He hasn't missed a game in the league this season and is one of the most important players at the club.

Gibbs-White is on loan from Wolves and you can be sure that the £8.1m valuation he has here is nowhere near what the Premier League side would accept for the England U21 international.

His career stalled in recent years after breaking through at Molineux, with this his first real campaign where he has played every week.

It's a loan move that has paid off spectacularly for all concerned, as Gibbs-White has been one of the best players in the league and Blades fans will appreciate all he has done this season - with the aim now to ensure it ends in promotion.

Like McBurnie, Brewster joined Sheffield United in a big-money deal, believed to be worth up to £23,5m, and he hasn't hit the heights that were expect of him, hence the £8.1m valuation now.

Whether that's fair or not is open to debate, but the one pleasing thing for Blades fans is that the former Liverpool man had showed promise before injury this season.

Plus, at 22, Brewster has time on his side and there is a hope that he can be the clinical striker the club thought they'd bought a few years ago.

Finally, the most valuable player at Bramall Lane, and by some distance, is Berge.

Transfermarkt give him a valuation of £16.2m, which is around £6m less than the fee the Blades paid to bring the Norwegian in from Genk back in 2020.

Like the other high-profile arrivals on this list, he hasn't always convinced, but it's clear to see the midfielder does have quality and he has slowly become an important player this season, and he will need to be at his best to help the side back to the top-flight.
