Watford can secure an immediate return to the Premier League at the first time of asking with a win over Millwall tomorrow.

Xisco Munoz deserves huge credit for the way he picked things up when Vladimir Ivic was dismissed by the club, steering the Hornets right towards automatic promotion.

A 1-0 win over league leaders Norwich City in Norfolk this week leaves the Hornets on course to secure an immediate return to England's top-flight.

So many of Watford's key individual players have come to the fore and stepped up when it has mattered this term, showing their quality.

Those who are established in the Premier League have showed their leadership, whilst others, like Joao Pedro and Ismaila Sarr, have also been so impressive.

Here, we take a look at the nine Watford players who have had the biggest market value increases since making their debuts for the club...

Sierralta has got better as the season's gone on for the Hornets.

The Chilean defender arrived from Udinese in the summer, but it took him a while to make his full debut for the club.

Since making his full debut against Huddersfield in January, Sierralta has featured in all but one of Watford's Championship outings.

He has picked up nine yellow cards, but he's been a solid performer in the heart of defence for Xisco Munoz's side.

His market value has risen by £135,000 since making his debut for the Hornets, and it now stands at £450,000.

Cathcart has been a fantastic servant to Watford since he arrived at Vicarage Road in 2014.

The Northern Ireland international defender joined Watford in 2014 after his contract ran out at Blackpool.

The defender has since made 198 appearances for the Hertfordshire club, but hasn't featured a great deal this term.

The 32-year-old has made 22 appearances in the Championship, and has fallen behind Sierralta and William Troost-Ekong in the pecking order.

Nevertheless, he is an established pro whose market value has risen by £450,000 since making his debut for the Hornets in 2009 when he came on loan.

Watford swooped to sign Dele-Bashiru from Manchester United on a huge six-year deal back in the summer of 2019.

The midfielder failed to make an appearance in the Premier League and made an appearance in the Carabao Cup last term.

This season, he has made two appearances in the Championship which came against Luton Town and Reading, before sustaining ligament injury.

But the young talent was a breath of fresh air for the Hornets' Under-23s' last term, and his market value has risen by £675,000 since making his debut last season.

Fans will look forward to seeing him in action next season.

Having impressed in League Two for Stevenage, Wilmot made the move to Vicarage Road on a five-year deal in 2018.

He previously spent time on loan with Udinese before moving to Swansea City on loan for the second half of last season.

This season, the defender has made 23 appearances in the Championship, and again, has fallen behind Troost-Ekong and Sierralta in the pecking order.

He is still a key part of Xisco's plans at Vicarage Road, though, and at 21 years of age, he still has plenty of time to grow and develop as a player.

His Transfermarkt market value has risen by £1.8million since joining the club.

After turning down a new deal at West Ham United at the end of last season, Ngakia moved to Vicarage Road in the summer.

The full-back has made 25 appearances in the Championship this season, but only 18 of those have come as starts, so he will be hoping to get more minutes under his belt next term.

He made his debut against Middlesbrough back in September and played as a winger, which shows his endeavour to get forward as well as play as a wing-back.

Since moving to Vicarage Road and making his debut for the Hornets, his market value has risen by an impressive £2.48million.

Cleverley has very much been a key player for Watford in their bid for promotion this season.

The midfielder has made 145 appearances for the Hornets since joining from Everton on a permanent basis in 2017.

This season, he has chipped in with four goals and two assists from midfield to help Watford possess an attacking threat from the middle of the park.

He has made 32 appearances for the Hornets this term and captained them in their 1-0 win over Norwich this week.

His market value has risen by £2.66million since joining the club and making his debut.

What a rise Deeney has had.

He was spotted by Watford's scouts after scoring 14 goals for Walsall in League One in 2009/10.

It did take him a while to hit the ground running at Watford, though, scoring only two goals for the club in his first season at Vicarage Road.

The goals did eventually come, though, and he now has 140 strikes in 416 games under his belt.

This season, he has scored seven goals in 18 appearances and his campaign has hampered by injuries.

His market value, since arriving from the West Midlands, has risen by £2.88million.

Narrowly missing out on top spot is Ken Sema, who has gone from strength to strength for Watford.

After impressing in Sweden with Ostersunds, Sema made the move to Vicarage Road in 2018 and spent time on loan at Udinese last season.

The powerful left-sided winger has made 38 appearances for the Hornets in the Championship this term, scoring five goals and registering five assists.

His pace and power down the flanks has been beneficial for the Hornets this term, and he has been one of the most underrated wingers in the league.

Since moving to Hertfordshire, his value has risen by £3.15million.

Chalobah has probably been Watford's most influential player this season.

The midfielder spent time on loan at Watford in 2012/13 from Chelsea, and since then, he has made huge strides of improvement.

Fast forward eight years, and the combative midfielder has made a total of 126 appearances for the club.

This season, he has featured 37 times in the Championship, scoring three goals and registering one assist for the Hornets.

His market value has risen by £4.05million since making his debut for the club nine years ago.
