Coventry City will be hoping they can put together a positive run of results from now until the end of this year's campaign.

The Sky Blues are currently sat 18th in the Championship table, and find themselves nine points clear of the relegation zone, as they head into their final four matches of the 2020/21 season.

They had previously been in serious danger of dropping straight back into League One after just one season, but have beaten both Rotherham United and Barnsley recently, which has seen them create much-needed distance between themselves and the relegation zone.

A number of the current squad's value has risen since they first signed for the club, with some showing more improvement than others when it comes to their market value nowadays.

We take a look at the top-ten Coventry City players who've had the biggest market value increase since their debut for the club. (Statistics sourced from Transfermarkt)

Liam Kelly is the first name on the list, with the Coventry City midfielder having a market value of £360,000 when he made his debut for the club.

He is now worth £450,000 according to Transfermarkt, which means that his market value has risen by £90,000 since he made his debut.

The midfielder has made 23 appearances in all competitions this season, and will be eager to play his part in the club's bid for survival this term in the Championship.

Coventry will be nervously looking over their shoulders if results don't go their way in the coming weeks.

Ben Wilson is ninth on this list, with the goalkeeper having a market value of £90,000 when he made his Coventry City debut according to Transfermarkt.

The shot-stopper has made 25 appearances in total for the Sky Blues, and will be eager to make a good impression towards the end of this year's campaign.

Wilson has recently come back into the starting XI with Coventry City, ahead of a crucial last four matches in this year's campaign, as they battle to survive.

Wilson now has a market value of £225,000 according to Transfermarkt which puts him at number nine on the list as one of the player's who have become more valuable with the Sky Blues since originally signing for the club.

Jordan Shipley is next on the list, with the Coventry City midfielder's market value at the time of his debut not being clearly known by Transfermarkt.

But he currently has a market value of £225,00, which puts him at number eight on the list for Coventry City here.

Shipley has come through the club's academy system, and has made 147 appearances in total for the Sky Blues' first-team, after breaking into the senior squad in 2016.

He has made 27 appearances for Coventry City this season, although he has made just 14 league starts, which will be slightly frustrating for the 23-year-old.

Marko Marosi is next up, with the Coventry City goalkeeper having a market value of £45,000 when he first signed for the club according to Transfermarkt.

The shot-stopper has made 20 appearances in all competitions for the Sky Blues this term, and now has a market value of £270,000.

He has one more year to run on his contract, but has been dropped from the starting XI for Coventry City's last two matches, with Ben Wilson starting between the posts, after some poor performances from Marosi.

With a market value difference of £225,000, Marosi earns his spot at number seven on the list.

Maxime Biamou's market value on his Coventry City debut wasn't known, but he's now got a market value of £270,000 according to Transfermarkt, which earns him a spot at number six on the list.

The forward is out-of-contract at the end of this year's campaign, and it remains to be seen as to whether he has a long-term future with the Sky Blues beyond this season.

Biamou has only made 19 league starts from his 33 appearances in all competitions, and is currently down the pecking order in Mark Robins' plans at this moment in time.

He could leave the club for free in the summer though if an agreement isn't reached.

Matt Godden is fifth on the list, with the forward having a market value of £45,000 when he first signed for the club. He now has a market value of £630,000.

Godden has made 55 appearances in total for Coventry City, having previously played for the likes of Peterborough United and Stevenage.

The striker has scored six goals in 22 appearances for the Sky Blues this term, who are currently sat 18th in the Championship table, and nine points clear of the relegation zone.

With a market value difference of £585,000, Godden earns himself a place in the top-five of this list, and will be hoping to increase that value in future seasons.

Dominic Hyam is the next name on the list, with the defender establishing himself as a regular in the starting XI since signing for the club.

The former Reading defender had a market value of £45,000 when he first made his debut for Coventry City, but is now worth £720,000 according to Transfermarkt.

Hyam has made 141 appearances in total for the Sky Blues, which includes 41 appearances in all competitions this season, as they battle to survive in the second-tier.

There is a difference of £675,000 in his value since his debut, and the club's supporters will be hoping that he continues to go from strength to strength moving forwards.

Callum O'Hare is the first name in the top-three, with the midfielder's value not changing since he made his debut for the club, with it not being clear what his original value was when he signed for the Sky Blues. He is now worth £810,000 though according to Transfermarkt.

The former Aston Villa man has gone on to impress with Coventry City, and will be eager to play his part in their bid for survival this season in the Championship.

O'Hare has made 44 appearances in all competitions this season, and has chipped in with two goals and six assists for Mark Robins' side.

It seems likely that his market value will only rise even further as the years go on, with O'Hare catching the eye with some strong performances during this year's campaign.

Gustavo Hamer is in at number two, with the Coventry City midfielder having a market value of £720,000 on his debut for the Sky Blues.

But he has gone on to become a regular in the Coventry City squad, and has made 40 appearances in total for Mark Robins' team this term in the second-tier.

His market value is now £1.80million, which means that Hamer has a £1.08million difference from when he first made his debut for the club.

Hamer will be eager to play his part in the club's bid to retain their status in the Championship this season.

Sam McCallum is in at number one, with the Norwich City loanee market value not being known at his debut.

The full-back now has a market value of £1.62million though, after featuring regularly for Mark Robins' side in the Championship this season.

The young defender has made 37 appearances in all competitions for Coventry City this season, and will be hoping that he can play his part in the club's bid for survival in the second-tier.

But it remains to be seen as to whether he has a long-term future with the Sky Blues, with Norwich City recently winning promotion into the Premier League this season.
