Rangers are interested in signing Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Seny Dieng this summer, according to a report by Football Insider.

The 24-year-old is yet to make his first-team debut for QPR, but has impressed on loan at Stevenage and Dundee this season.

The goalkeeper is out of contract at Loftus Road in the summer and the report states that he has been offered a new deal, but is yet to agree terms.

His potential availability on a free transfer in the summer has alerted a number of clubs, including Rangers and League One side Shrewsbury Town.

QPR finished 19th in the Championship table this season, eleven points above the relegation zone and will be looking to improve on that next season, under new manager Mark Warburton.

The Verdict:

Dieng is a good goalkeeper and could be a decent signing for Rangers. QPR obviously see potential in him, otherwise he would not have been offered a new deal to remain at the club.

He was one of the standout players for Dundee during the second half of the season, although he was unable to prevent their relegation from the Scottish Premiership.

Rangers will be looking for a new goalkeeper this summer, with current number two Wes Foderingham expected to move on and Dieng could provide a good back-up option to Allan McGregor.
