Rangers are interested in signing Bolton Wanderers duo Ronan Darcy and Dennis Politic, according to Football Insider

The Scottish giants have been keeping close tabs on the pair so far this season and are planning on keeping an eye on their progress at Bolton over the course of the season.

Celtic are also reportedly interested in signing Darcy, while Premier League duo Aston Villa and Wolves are both thought to be keen on Politic.

Politic has been one of the standout players for Bolton this season and was one of the youngsters that the club fielded to fulfil their early-season fixtures during their financial crisis.

However, the winger has been able to keep his place in the side, even after the club added several more experienced players to their squad following the completion of their takeover.

The 19-year-old has made eleven appearances for Wanderers in all competitions this season, scoring two goals.

Like Politic, Darcy also came through the ranks at Bolton and the 18-year-old forward has scored one goal in eight appearances for the club in all competitions for the Trotters first team this season.

The Verdict

Politic and Darcy are both talented young players and they both seem to have a lot of potential.

The duo have both looked very promising for Bolton so far this season and there's every chance that they could be tempted by the chance to play for a huge club like Rangers.

It would be a major blow for Bolton to lose two of their brightest young talents, but on the flip side, the club should be able to get a decent amount of money for them and this would be a welcome boost given their current financial situation.
