Rangers are reportedly interested in signing Peterborough United forward Jonson Clarke-Harris, according to the Daily Record.

Clarke-Harris caught the eye with a number of impressive performances for Posh last term, as they clinched promotion into the Championship, whilst under the management of Darren Ferguson.

The forward netted 33 goals in 48 appearances for Peterborough United in the 2020/21 season, and it appears as though his strong showings haven't gone unnoticed.

Sheffield United, West Brom and CSKA Moscow are also reportedly keen on signing Clarke-Harris this summer, although it remains to be seen as to which club is leading the race to land his signature.

The 27-year-old has been with Peterborough since 2020, having previously been on the books with Coventry City and Bristol Rovers earlier in his career, but it remains to be seen as to whether he'll stick around with Posh heading towards the 2021/22 campaign.

Sheffield United and West Brom will be looking to win promotion back into the Premier League at the first time of asking, whilst Rangers won the Scottish league title last term, after catching the eye with a run of dominant performances in the 2020/21 campaign.

Peterborough United are set to take on Luton Town in their opening match of the new Championship season, in what is likely to be a tricky test up against the Hatters at Kenilworth Road.

The Verdict:

It's not surprising to hear that he's being linked with a move elsewhere this summer.

Clarke-Harris has been brilliant with Peterborough United, and I certainly feel as though he's capable of playing regularly for a team that are challenging for promotion into the Premier League.

Both West Brom and Sheffield United are likely to be able to offer that, whilst Rangers are also likely to be a tempting offer, after winning the Scottish title last term under the management of Steven Gerrard.

He'll surely be heading for the exit door at Peterborough this summer, as he destined for bigger and better things in the near future.
