According to Irish sports news outlet The Herald, Rangers are the latest club to join the hunt for Daryl Horgan.

The Dundalk midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to a host of Championship clubs recently.

Newcastle, Aston Villa, Reading, Preston, a number of MLS sides and bitter rivals Celtic have been linked with a move for the exciting winger, who has caught the eye with recent performances for Dundalk.

Horgan has shone in Dundalk's surprising Europa League run, where they sit 2nd in their group, and he even scored a goal away at Zenit St Petersburg.

The 24-year-old's contract runs out in early December and he is set to assess his options with Dundalk's chances of qualifying for the knockout stages of the Europa League said to be a big factor in his thinking.

Horgan has even been called up to the Republic of Ireland senior squad and he was an unused sub in Austria.

The report also says that Horgan's teammate, Andy Boyle, is wanted by Rangers too.
