Scottish Premiership giants Rangers have recently scouted Charlton Athletic star Karlan Grant ahead of a potential move, according to reports from Talksport.

The 21-year-old has been sensational for Lee Bowyer's Addicks in their League One play-off push this season, scoring thirteen goals and producing four assists in twenty-seven games for the London club.

Reports recently surfaced in the Scottish Sun, that with his contract at The Valley expiring at the end of this season, Steven Gerrard's Rangers are eyeing up the exciting attacker and could look to sign him on a pre-contract agreement this month, with the Scottish side seeing him as a long-term replacement for Alfredo Morelos.

And now, reports from Talksport claim that scouts from Ibrox were present to watch Grant net his 13th goal of the campaign on Saturday, in Charlton's 3-0 win over Shrewsbury Town.

Grant has been a standout performer for Charlton this term, and after scoring nine goals in fifteen games on loan at League Two side Crawley Town last season, he has returned to the club and emerged as a mainstay for Bowyer's men.

The Addicks currently sit 4th in the Sky Bet League One table, three points off the automatic promotion places.

The Verdict:

Grant has been superb for Charlton this season, and has been integral in their push up the League One table.

He has plenty of years ahead of him to develop as a player, and with his ability to play either out wide or straight up top, he would be a very exciting signing for Rangers.

Gerrard needs to get this one done, as he is the perfect replacement for Morelos if he leaves.
