Rangers are heavily interested in Sonny Bradley as Steven Gerrard looks to make the team his own, according to Football Insider.
1.96m Bradley is a free agent in the summer which is part of the reason why he is attracting so much interest with Bolton being another team that are heavily interested. The 26-year-old has been with Plymouth for the last two seasons as they moved up from League Two to finishing seventh and just missing out on the play-offs in League One.
The imposing centre-back has been an important figure for the Pilgrims this season because he made 40 league appearances as well as 44 last season with 11 goals spread across the two seasons.
Rangers have looked to the English leagues for players previously in recent seasons, such as Martyn Waghorn and Joe Garner, with mixed success, so it will be interesting to see whether Bradley does impress in Scotland if he joins the Glaswegian side.
The draw of playing for Rangers is significant, but it’s a gamble because this is Gerrard’s first major managerial position, so there is no certainty that he will be a success or be there in the long-term. It might be in his best interests to move up leagues to Bolton and carry on his career progression that way because some good seasons in that league could see him rewarded with a move to the Premier League.
