Scottish giants Rangers have once again been linked with a move for out of sorts Preston North End striker Louis Moult, according to the latest report from the Bristol Post.

The former Motherwell man has failed to settle somewhat in Lancashire, and has looked a shadow of the player he was north of the border with Well, where he was firing in the goals and building quite the reputation for himself.

However, since moving to the Championship with North End and manager Alex Neil, Moult has struggled for both goals and game time, and now could be set for a move back to the SPL with Rangers reportedly eyeing up a move for the striker.

The 25-year-old averaged almost a goal every other game at Motherwell, but has so far failed to find the target at Deepdale, and he could well be interested in a move to Rangers in the summer despite only being with North End for less than three months.

Preston manager Alex Neil will no doubt be keen to offload Moult if he shows a desire to leave, and will be keen to move swiftly to find a replacement if a deal can be agreed.
