England under 17's won the Syrenka Cup with a penalty shootout win over Poland, with Reading's Coniah Boyce-Clarke proving to be the hero.

The youngster saved two penalties in the shootout, after the game had finished 2-2 after 90 minutes in what was an evenly-contested match.

Boyce-Clarke's performance on the day certainly caught the eye, and it seems as though he's made quite the impression on a Manchester City star.

Raheem Sterling took to Instagram to praise the goalkeeper for his performance and the win in the Syrenka Cup.

Boyce-Clarke has previously been attracting interest from Manchester United (according to The Mirror), and will be hoping that he can continue to impress in the future.

The young shot-stopper did sign a new contract with Reading earlier this year though, and it seems as though he'll be remaining with the Berkshire-based side for the foreseeable future.

There are high-hopes for the 16-year-old, and he'll be keen to prove himself in senior football after such an impressive start to his career.

He's considerably far down the pecking order at the Madejski Stadium at this moment in time, although he has been featuring for Reading's under 23's side already this season, so we could see Boyce-Clarke in the first-team setup sooner rather than later.

The Verdict:

Boyce-Clarke has got an exciting future ahead of him.

It's clear to see that he's got something about him, and it wouldn't come as a surprise to see the Royals loan him out in the future, as they look to further his development with minutes in senior football.

He'll be keen to progress as quickly as possible, and could be one to keep an eye on in the future.
