Nottingham Forest midfielder John Bostock has posted a video of an impressive finish in training, causing a reaction from his Reds teammate Rafa Mir.

Bostock joined Forest on a season-long loan from Toulouse in the summer, but he's found first-team opportunities hard to come by since his arrival at the City Ground.

The 27-year-old has made a couple of starts for Forest in the Carabao Cup this season, but all three of his Championship outings for the Reds this term have come from the substitutes' bench.

Forest have made a promising start to their Championship campaign under Sabri Lamouchi and are currently fourth in the league table. Bostwock will be determined to force his way into the Frenchman's plans ahead of the busy festive period by impressing in training.

The experienced midfielder took to social media this afternoon and posted a video of himself scoring an impressive long-range goal in training on his personal

Reds striker Mir - who is on loan at the City Ground from Wolves - was quick to respond to the video on Instagram, commenting "Ouuuu" alongside the fire emoji.

The Verdict

Bostock is a good player and he's got plenty of experience, but things just haven't worked out for him since he arrived at the City Ground on loan.

To be fair to him, Forest have got a lot of talented midfield players in his position, so it's understandable that he's been unable to place in the team.

Injuries and suspensions are sure to play their part over the course of the campaign, so he could still have an important role to play. He needs to keep working hard in training and make sure that he's ready to take any chances that may come his way.
