Swindon Town had a successful season this year and were able to finish the season sixth in the league, therefore qualifying them for a play-off spot.
Despite winning the first leg of their play-off semi-finals against Port Vale 1-0, it was the opposition who came out victorious 1-0 in the second leg making the scores level at 2-2 on aggregate.
After extra-time in which neither team could score another, the game went to penalties where Port Vale won 6-5.
Therefore, Swindon are facing another season in League Two but will be hoping they can compete once again and secure promotion next season.
