Luton Town are looking odds on to make it back to back promotions this season, and last night's EFL awards saw one of their key players in their League One promotion push recognised for his efforts, as James Collins was named the division's Player of the Season.

Collins has had an outstanding first full season at third-tier level, topping the League One scoring charts so far with 22 goals, helping him to earn his first senior call up to the Republic of Ireland squad in March.

Luton currently sit top of eight points clear at the top of League One following a record-breaking 28 game unbeaten run, capped off by Saturday's 2-2 with Blackpool, where Collins opened the scoring before being sent off for two yellow cards in three minutes.

Despite that disciplinary mishap, Collins form across the season saw him handed League One's top individual award as Player of the Season at Sunday's EFL awards.

Taking to Twitter after the award was made, a number of fans of several clubs expressed their admiration for the 28-year-old's performances this season.

Here are some of the best of the reactions.
