Nottingham Forest have thrown away the chance of promotion once again this season thanks to inconsistencies and a change in management.
While capable on their day of beating most teams in the league, Forest have struggled to put together runs of wins to bump them into the mixer in the Championship table, and it’s safe to say it’s something which does not go down well with Reds fans on social media.
This time last year the Reds were in a similar sort of position, and having just being seen off on the final day of the season by Bolton Wanderers despite leading going into the final five minutes, plenty of Forest fans were on hand on social media to voice their all to similar thoughts about the club.
Aitor Karanka has since been and gone, and with Martin O’Neill now in charge, Forest fans will surely be hoping for a more positive campaign next season whatever the result of their final game today.
This time last year though the Reds fans were not entirely happy at all, and you’d have to imagine some of these comments may well be recycled again this time around…

Yet another defeat … yet another woeful season … crap for most of this century … no Cup run yet again … 22 years since we’ve reached a QF … At least Aitor can now boot out all the dross … Season cards renewed – as usual …

Genuinely can not wait to get rid of some of our players ! @Karanka money ???? minimum 70 million needs spending or we’re a dead midtable championship club.

Time to give the defence away and buy a new one. Awful season. Again.
