Victory over Middlesbrough on Sunday afternoon ensured Leeds United’s abysmal run of results came to a sudden halt, with Thomas Christiansen’s side bringing to an end a three game losing streak.

Victory over former boss Garry Monk’s side drew the hosts level on points with their visitors, with the Whites kept out of the playoff places by just an inferior goal difference.

Christiansen had come under fire in recent weeks from sections of the fanbase at Elland Road, but this result will certainly by the Dane some time.

A number of players who had been missing in recent weeks conjured displays reminiscent of Leeds’ early season form, with the likes of Pontus Jansson and Kemar Roofe impressing in the 2-1 win.
