Coventry City caught the eye on Saturday as they piled the pressure on Brentford with a fine 2-0 win in the Sky Bet Championship.
The Sky Blues are fighting for survival this season and will need to pick up as many points as they can, with the game against the Bees one that looked tough on paper.
It was, then, a welcome bit of news to see them beat the promotion contenders at St. Andrew’s with Callum O’Hare among the players to star.
Indeed, as quoted by EFL on Quest, Dean Ashton felt the attacking midfielder’s performance warranted special mention with the way he went about creating trouble for the Brentford defence.
“O’Hare was pretty much top of every chart today, and it’s so important that if you play in that role behind the centre-forwards that you do create chances. And that’s now four assists in his last four home games.
“With Walker back in the goals and O’Hare busy in behind, I thought they were excellent.”
If Coventry can keep their best players fit – it has been tough at times to do that this season – they have every chance of remaining in the division.
They have good players and this performance showed that they can beat any side on their day, they just need to ensure they keep up a level of consistency.
The games are going to come thick and fast in the weeks ahead now and if Coventry can build some momentum they should finish well in the table.
