Queens Park Rangers winger Pawel Wszolek is attracting interest from abroad in this January transfer window, according to reports in the Polish media via West London Sport.

Wszolek is wanted by Legia Warsaw this month as they are eyeing a swoop for the QPR wide man.

The Poland international, with eleven caps and two goals to his name for his country, has been linked with a move back to his homeland as Legia Warsaw consider a move.

Legia Warsaw sold Ariel Borysiuk to QPR in the summer of 2016 and then he was shipped out on loan to Lechia Gdansk last season.

QPR have reportedly alerted Borysiuk's former club about his availability with the 12-cap Poland international not featuring in Ian Holloway's plans but Legia Warsaw are instead interested in his fellow countryman Pawel Wszolek.

Wszolek plays as a winger or a wing back and he also joined QPR in summer 2016 after leaving Italian side Hellas Verona on loan.

He then made his deal permanent after impressing for QPR and attracting interest from Southampton.

The 25-year-old has played 24 games this season, including 22 games in the Championship, of which he has started 17.

The former Sampdoria winger has scored once and grabbed three assists this season.

The Verdict

Wszolek has featured regularly for QPR and this was not the man they were trying to ship off to Legia Warsaw. But if the price is right - and I doubt it would be - QPR could consider selling to reinvest in the squad. However, Legia Warsaw are probably more likely to launch a loan bid and this would not benefit QPR.
