Queens Park Rangers in pole position to land in-demand Championship striker

HITC Sport are reporting that Queens Park Rangers are leading the chase for in-demand striker Danny Ward.

Danny Ward has nine Championship goals this season for the Championship’s bottom club Rotherham United and he is subject to interest from former club Huddersfield Town as well as Queens Park Rangers and Ipswich Town.

Rotherham are keen to keep Ward this January and have turned down bids from Ipswich and Huddersfield so far in January.

The Millers may be forced to lose him though with relegation looking increasingly unlikely.

Just 16 points in 26 games leaves Rotherham nine points adrift of safety with just 20 games left to play.

QPR are in the hunt for a new striker after Sebastian Polter returned to Germany with FC Union Berlin but they have turned their attentions away from Everton striker Arouna Kone after the Toffees insisted they pay most of his £40,000 a week wage packet in any loan deal.

QPR fans – can you land Ward? Is he the striker you need?

Rotherham fans – can you keep him beyond January?
