Championship club Queens Park Rangers have confirmed they have tied up with Players Elite, a scouting, recruitment, and development software to help the club identify more young and promising talent.

In the announcement, which was made on the club’s official website, QPR’s Commercial Director said:

“We are delighted to team up with Players Elite. Their software will enable us to improve the efficiency of our youth recruitment.”

QPR’s under 23s are a strong side as they sit in second place in the Professional Development League table with a game in hand against Coventry City’s u23s.

The Hoops’ senior squad are currently sat in tenth position on the Championship table with their next game coming against Ipswich Town at Loftus Road after the international break.

The Verdict

This is a big step in the right direction for QPR and a positive sign that the future of some clubs won’t be dominated by how much money they can spend.

Identifying younger talent before your rivals and putting the club ahead in the race for youngster’s signature can go a long way in bolstering the youth squads and the academy.

The more talented youngsters they sign, the better and the more chance that one of them could go on to be a superstar.
