Portsmouth have completed the signing of Omar Bogle, with the striker joining on loan from Cardiff for the remainder of the season.

The 25-year-old spent the first part of the campaign on loan at Birmingham City, however he struggled to establish himself as a regular for Garry Monk's side.

Bogle did make 15 appearances for Blues but the majority were as a substitute and he only scored one goal.

Therefore, the Championship side were happy to end his loan and Pompey confirmed on their website that he has joined Kenny Jackett's side to help with their promotion push.

A run of three defeats in five league games has seen the South Coast side drop down to second in the league, although they do have a game in hand on leaders Luton.

The target for Bogle will be to play a part as Pompey look to secure promotion and it's fair to say many of the fans have high hopes for him.
