Cardiff's inconsistent start to the Championship season continued on Wednesday night after they drew 1-1 with unbeaten Bournemouth at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The South Wales outfit have now taken eight points from their opening six matches, winning twice, drawing twice and suffering two defeats - which leaves them sitting 13th in the standings.

Dominic Solanke's second goal of the campaign put the Cherries into a first-half lead, but Deadline Day signing Harry Wilson marked his Bluebirds full debut with his first goal for the club just past the hour-mark to level proceedings.

It was a classic finish from the Liverpool loanee and one that we've seen so often at this level - sweeping home Junior Hoilett's low cross into the bottom right-hand corner with that trusty left-foot in the 62nd-minute.

But that would be as good as it got for Neil Harris' men, who were fortunate that Junior Stanislas' crashed the crossbar moments later, otherwise Cardiff would have suffered a third home defeat of the campaign already.

However, the night belonged to Welshman Wilson - with Bluebirds supporters delighted with his goalscoring performance, and are already excited about what's to come from the 23-year-old.
