QPR still want to sign at least three more players in the summer transfer window, after completing the signing of defender Jimmy Dunne from Burnley, a report from West London Sport has revealed.

Dunne completed a move to QPR on a three-year deal on Tuesday, becoming QPR's seventh senior signing of the summer transfer window.

Last season's loanees Charlie Austin, Jordy De Wijs and Sam Field, as well as Andre Dozzell and Jordan Archer have all already joined the club permanently, while Sam McCallum has completed a loan move from Norwich.

Now though, it seems as though QPR are far from done in the transfer market this summer.

According to this latest update, the club are still keen to add at least three more new players to their side before the start of the season.

Midfielder Stefan Johansen remains a target after impressing on loan from Fulham in the second half of last season.

With Todd Kane set to leave the club this summer, a new right-back is also said to be on the agenda, with Moses Odubajo on trial in that position.

Elsewhere, the club are also reportedly keen to add another attacking player to their ranks, as they look to build on a ninth place finish in the Championship table last season.

The Verdict

I do think that this will be an exciting update for those of a QPR persuasion.

Fans always like to see transfer business getting done, and after a promising summer so far, a few more deals will no doubt only add to that excitement.

Indeed, with Johansen having been so impressive on loan at QPR last season, that deal in particular would certainly be a popular on if they were to get it done.

With that in mind, it does seem as those things are setting up nicely for QPR to push on from that strong end to the previous campaign, and potentially mount a push for a play-off place next season.
