Queens Park Rangers will look to carry on where they left off before the international break, with a trip to Stoke City on the horizon for Steve McClaren's men.

Their previous result - a 3-2 home win against Brentford - was Rangers' fifth win in seven league outings, and the West London club now sit 10th in the Championship table.

This season has been a relatively bizarre one for QPR - they started the season off in dismal fashion after losing their opening four league games, conceding 13 goals in the process.

Fast forward three months, however, and the Hoops are a revitalised side having just three of their last thirteen Championship games - their defence has improved a lot, to say the least too.

Right-back Angel Rangel has been a solid figure for the R's this term, though his form hasn't gone unnoticed with recent reports claiming that Nottingham Forest and Norwich City are interested in the Spaniard, who could be available on a free transfer in January.

It's clear that QPR might need to find a potential replacement for Rangel, and one player who could be of interest to them is Leeds United's Lewie Coyle.

Coyle has been a solid figure for Fleetwood Town on loan this season, making 20 appearances for Joey Barton's side, and he is bound to attract interest from higher clubs when his loan deal expires in January.

The 23-year-old has made 23 appearances for Leeds since coming through the youth ranks at Elland Road, and might be unlikely to feature in Marcelo Bielsa's plans despite several injuries to the likes of Luke Ayling and Gaetano Berardi.

Fellow youngster Jamie Shackleton has filled in when called upon, so it looks like Coyle's time at Elland Road could be coming to an end - and QPR should be looking to pounce.

At 23 years of age, he has much more potential than Rangel, and he will be hungry to prove himself and perhaps show Leeds what they could be missing.
