QPR’s Nahki Wells has stated that the victory against Leeds can act as a season-defining moment for Mark Warburton’s side.
The striker managed to net the only goal of the game as QPR secured a vital win that pushed them to within just seven points of a play-off place.
The R’s now have crucial games coming up after their FA Cup clash with Sheffield Wednesday as they take on Blackburn and then Bristol City in the space of a week.
Wells has expressed that this result against Leeds could lead to a change in momentum at the club, and potentially help them be in and around the top six come May.
Speaking to QPR’s official website, Wells said: “If we are to be around the top six come May time then I’m sure we will look back to this game as the time when there was a change in momentum.
“It’s a big win that we really needed against a top side. We ticked those boxes of where we have been vulnerable; clean sheet and working hard collectively off the ball, and we got the result.”

QPR now have to push on and try and make sure that they are able to carry on with this level of performance, then there’s a chance that they can make a dart for some of the teams above them in the division.
The R’s have some really high quality players within their squad and if they can get the best out of them then they have some of the best players in the division such as Eberechi Eze.
Mark Warburton has them playing some good stuff going forward and after watching the defending against Leeds, he’ll have been encouraged to know that his side can keep some of the better sides out in the division.
