Queens Park Rangers’ Ebere Eze took part in a Q&A on the club’s official Instagram page yesterday and revealed what he thinks is the biggest difference between QPR this season and last.

The star of QPR’s show this season has been Ebere Eze.

The 21-year-old has already bettered his tally from last season with six goals from the opening 15 games of the Championship, and is quickly becoming the star man at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

Everyone knew he was a talent last season but he looked too inconsistent. Warburton this time round seems to be getting the best out of the midfielder, who’s driving runs from deep have been his side’s biggest outlet under the new boss.

During #AskEze on QPR’s Instagram page yesterday, fans sent in their questions for Eze, and one asked: “What’s the difference between this season and last?”

Eze replied: “I’ll say the emphasis on the style of play. I think we’re playing a lot better football - it’s more entertaining and it’s more fun to play as well.”

QPR have established a new brand of exciting, forward-thinking football under Warburton. Fans are loving what they’re seeing this season, and the players look like they’re enjoying life at QPR a lot more this season than last.

The verdict

Under Steve McClaren last season, QPR were such a boring football side. But under the more innovative Warburton, fans are seeing some of the best football they’ve seen in a long time.

It’s still very much a work in progress but QPR look to be going places under their new manager, and Eze will be the man at the fore of any success they have this season.
