Queens Park Rangers' Bright Osayi-Samuel has become one of the Football League's best young players.

The 22-year-old started the season on the bench. He was yet to imprint himself on Mark Warburton's first-team and few expected anything more than a back-up role from him this time round.

He's long had the ability and the potential though, and Warburton has since unlocked that. Osayi-Samuel has now asserted himself as one of the most robust, clinical wingers in the league.

This season, Osayi-Samuel has five goals to his name in 29 Championship appearances - aside from his physical attributes, Osayi-Samuel's finishing is widely underrated.

Fans are missing all their teams' players right now, and

/">Osayi-Samuel has said he can't wait to get back to footballing ways:

Osayi-Samuel is one of a bunch of QPR youngsters who've stolen the headlines this season. Ebere Eze being the standout, with the likes of Ilias Chair and Ryan Manning drawing attention too.

This clan could well be broken up in the summer though - many expect Tottenham to complete their long-awaited move for Eze, whilst Osayi-Samuel has attracted attention from the likes of Burnley and West Brom.

In the second-half of this season, Osayi-Samuel has become a really important player to Warburton - he fits his style of play perfectly, and could well land himself a big money move when the transfer window opens.

The verdict

Osayi-Samuel is a quality player, and for much of the season he's been on a par with Eze who many regard as one, if not the best best player in the Championship this season.

He's improved massively under Warburton and will only improve further - QPR fans will only hope that the club can retain him for a while longer.
