QPR weighing up move for former Premier League striker

Queens Park Rangers are considering a shock move for former Arsenal and Wolfsburg striker Nicklas Bendtner, according to West London Sport.

Since falling out with Wolfsburg’s club hierarchy and ultimately being released from his contract, Bendtner has yet to find his next club.

One potential destination is a return to London with Championship side Queens Park Rangers, who are considering making a surprise move to sign the free agent.

The Danish international does have experience of the Championship as he impressed when he spent the season on loan at Birmingham City, helping Birmingham secure promotion and scoring eleven times in 42 appearances, his best goal return in a single season.

Nicklas Bendtner is reportedly interested not only in a return to London but also a move to Queens Park Rangers.

As Bendtner is unattached, it could be a relatively low-cost deal but with the potential to be one of the coups of the summer if he can replicate the form he had for Birmingham City.

Queens Park Rangers fans, what do you make of the news? Would you like to see Nicklas Bendtner join your club? Would he be a success in the Championship in your opinion? Is he the calibre of player that you’d like QPR to be signing? Should QPR take the risk and sign him? Let us hear your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below!
