According to local media outlet West London Sport, Queens Park Rangers have taken defender Alex Finney on trial ahead of potentially signing the youngster.

The 20-year-old left Bolton Wanderers by mutual consent in the summer and has been without a club ever since.

The 6’4” centre half started his career in Leyton Orient’s youth academy before joining Bolton back in 2014.

After impressing for the youth system, Finney made his debut in September 2015 as a late substitute for Stephen Dobbie against Huddersfield.

He made three senior appearances in total for the Trotters, the last of which came in the EFL Cup defeat to Blackpool in August this season.

He left the League One club just three days after the game with his contract cancelled by mutual consent and he has been searching for a club ever since.

It is reported that QPR are willing to give the free agent a trial so that they can run the rule over him before offering him a contract.

He has featured in the last two QPR under-23 matches.

QPR fans – what do you think? Would you offer Finney a contract?
