Charlie Austin has hit the ground running at QPR as he set the Hoops on course to beat Luton Town with a goal from close range on Tuesday night.

Indeed, he's a signing that many R's will hope leads them up the table and it appears as though there's more to come for the Hoops.

Here's our latest round-up concerning QPR rumours, then, kicking off with a seemingly imminent arrival...

Jordy de Wijs latest

QPR are expected to sign Jordy de Wijs on loan and confirm as much today, as per West London Sport.

The Hull City defender will join for the rest of the season as he bids to challenge Rob Dickie and Yoann Barbet in the centre of defence, whilst it may also allow Conor Masterson to then head out on loan elsewhere.

Alfie Doughty latest

Charlton man Alfie Doughty is yet to decide which club he wants to join this month.

Lee Bowyer was speaking after the Addicks' 4-4 draw with Rochdale and revealed that he is yet to make a decision on who he wants to sign for, with Bournemouth and Stoke City also interested in him alongside the Hoops.

Preston bid accepted for Ben Whiteman

According to Football Insider, Preston North End have had a bid accepted for Ben Whiteman for a fee of over £1.5m.

The midfielder has scored plenty of goals this season for Rovers and has caught the eye of several Championship sides, with both Nottingham Forest and QPR linked as well.

At the moment, though, it seems the Lilywhites are leading the race.

Kelman going nowhere

Finally, Charlie Kelman will not be being loaned out this window.

The arrival of Charlie Austin has knocked the youngster down a rung on the pecking order but it sounds as though Warburton wants to keep him in house.

As quoted by West London Sport, the QPR boss said:

“We’ve got to make sure we look after QPR and each individual player’s development. At 19 years of age, getting pitch time at QPR in the first team is a tremendous part of his development.”
