QPR will be hoping they can build on a hugely impressive performance on the opening weekend of fixtures in the Championship.

The Hoops beat Nottingham Forest by two goals to nil, and will be quietly confident that they can mount a challenge for a top-six finish this term.

It's been an interesting summer transfer window for Mark Warburton's side, as they lost star man Ebere Eze to Crystal Palace, whilst also being faced with considerable interest in other players in recent weeks.

We take a look at the latest transfer rumours at QPR as we edge closer towards the summer transfer window shutting.

Bright Osayi-Samuel

The winger has been attracting interest from a number of clubs during the summer transfer window, after his move to Belgian side Club Brugge failed to materialise.

It has recently been reported that Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers are both working on potential pre-contract deals for the QPR winger, although it remains to be seen as to whether there has been any progress in their efforts.

Osayi-Samuel chipped in with six goals and nine assists in his 40 appearances for QPR last season, as they finished 13th in the Championship table.

Sorba Thomas

QPR have been interested in a deal to sign Sorba Thomas from Boreham Wood according to the Daily Mail.

It is also claimed that Barnsley are also keen on landing his signature in the near future, although both teams' interest are yet to result in a formal bid for his services.

League One side Charlton Athletic are also believed to be keen on signing Thomas, and it remains to be seen as to which team is leading the race to strike a deal with the National League side.

Warburton targeting a striker

QPR boss Mark Warburton has recently revealed that he is keen to add attacking players to his squad before the summer transfer window slams shut.

"It’s all about goals and we’ve lost a lot of goals out of the team. So we’re looking for other attacking players to come in and supplement what we have."

The Hoops have lost Ebere Eze, Jordan Hugill and Nahki Wells in recent months, and the QPR boss is clearly keen to fill that void at the earliest of opportunities.
