Queens Park Rangers' tendency to be inconsistent came through again on Friday night as they followed up a win against Nottingham Forest by losing to Coventry City.

The Hoops will need to be more consistent with results this year if they are to challenge for the play-offs and Mark Warburton will be eager to add to his side further this transfer window if he feels the need.

Time, then, for the latest transfer round-up concerning the Hoops...

Nesta Guinness-Walker eyed

According to Teamtalk, QPR are interested in young AFC Wimbledon player Nesta Guinness-Walker.

The 21-year-old is starting to progress nicely with the Dons and the likes of Brentford are also apparently keen on him with Rico Henry's future up in the air.

A battle could be on for him in the final weeks of the window, then.

Mowbray rules out Manning move

Ryan Manning has been subject to a fair bit of speculation so far this transfer window and over the last few days we have seen that intensify with talk of him heading to Blackburn Rovers.

Ewood Park manager Tony Mowbray, though, appears to have poured cold water on such suggestions, telling Lancashire Live:

“That’s a name you’ve just thrown at me. It’s not true.

“I think Ryan Manning is a very good footballer but I imagine QPR are not just going to let him walk away.

“We haven’t got any money to buy anybody. How much is Ryan Manning going to cost?

“If you’re going to buy a player, you have to buy a player then give him a salary.”

Dieng commits future

After plenty of time on loan away from QPR, Seny Dieng could well be staying put this season and challenging for a start spot for the Hoops.

He has signed a new deal to keep him at the club until 2024 and that obviously suggests Mark Warburton has plans for him.

Dieng, Joe Lumley and Liam Kelly are set to have a good battle this season to start between the sticks.
