Queens Park Rangers have certainly had plenty of speculation surround them this month already and there is likely going to be more of that in the coming weeks.
The Hoops certainly needed to try and add to their squad this month as they look to climb the table and the arrival of Charlie Austin could well help them do that as they look to start putting away more goals than they have so far.
There’s further transfer rumours around the club at the moment, though, so let’s take a look at some of the freshest stories doing the rounds…
The winger is in the last six months of his contract now and still is no closer to signing a new deal with the club.
He’s free to talk to teams outside of England over a pre-contract now but Mark Warburton has recently poured cold water over talk that he had agreed something with Fenerbahce.
Even so, his future remains far from certain at the moment.
Jordy de Wijs talks
As per Dutch publication football-oranje, QPR have agreed a loan deal for Jordy de Wijs to join from Hull City.
The centre-back was one of the more underrated defenders in the Championship last season despite the Tigers’ wider struggles and he’ll give the Hoops another option in an area where they have, at times, looked very short this season.
Mark Warburton has since confirmed the defender is on the way.
Alfie Doughty update
Charlton boss Lee Bowyer has revealed that winger Alfie Doughty will head back to the Addicks on loan this season once he completes his move to the Championship.
QPR, Bournemouth and Stoke City are all thought to be in for him and have apparently all agreed that, if they sign him, they will send him back to the Addicks for the remaining season.
Doughty is currently injured, so he’ll recover at his new club and then head back to The Valley.
Finally, Manchester United u23 midfielder Dylan Levitt could be on the move again this month.
He was recently recalled by the Red Devils after a loan spell at Charlton where he struggled for minutes.
Portsmouth and QPR are interested in him even so, though, but the midfielder is currently weighing up whether another move or remaining with United will be the best option for him as he tries to get into the Wales squad for this summer’s European Championship.
