Queens Park Rangers are ready to step up their interest in Brentford striker Andre Gray, according to the Sun.
Brentford only signed the 24-year-old last summer from Luton Town for a fee of around £500,000 and it turned out to be a massive coup as the striker hit 16 goals to help the Bees finish in the Championship play-offs.
QPR had previously registered their interest in the former Shrewsbury Town man, and Brentford’s director of football Rasmus Ankersen has said that he’s willing to negotiate with Chris Ramsey over a deal for him.
Brentford’s recently-appointed Head Coach, Marinus Dijkhuizen, has expressed his desire to keep Gray at the club as he attempts to continue the Griffin Park side’s winning form into next season and make another push for promotion.
After achieving promotion from League One in 2014, they finished sixth in the Championship last campaign, amassing 78 points.
