According to a report on Get West London, Championship strugglers Queens Park Rangers are set to make a surprise move for former Wigan Athletic and Fulham striker Hugo Rodallega.

The 31-year-old frontman is currently plying his trade for Turkish side Akhisar Belediyespor and has netted four times this season for the club.

Ian Holloway is hopeful that Rodallega could be the solution to their goalscoring problems and is desperate to bring the former Colombian international to Loftus Road.

Rodallega's deal with the Turkish side is due to finish at the end of the current season and it appears that a permanent move could be on the cards.

He is of course no stranger to England after having two successful spells with Wigan Athletic and Fulham.

The forward netted 24 Premier League goals for Wigan during a four season stay at the DW Stadium and currently remains the club's all-time leading Premier League goalscorer.

Rodallega would add versatility to QPR's attacking options as he is comfortable in a variety of positions and could prove to be a very useful addition, should Ian Holloway secure his signature.
