QPR to get transfer indication soon in chase for 23-year-old star

It’s been a positive start for QPR this season in the Championship with them occupying the final play-off place in the table at the moment.

Of course, it’s still very early days right now but there is hope around the Loftus Road club that a charge for the play-offs can be sustained under Ian Holloway.

For sure, they’ve got a manager well equipped and well proven in terms of getting sides back into the Premier League whilst it’s not that long ago that the west London side was in the top flight.

First, though, the club needs to just keep winning games now before they can get too excited and this final week of the transfer window is set to prove crucial in terms of their squad’s quality.

Certainly, there’s always room for improvement in the second tier and it looks as though Saman Ghoddos could just end up with the R’s if things fall their way.

Indeed, speaking to Expressen – via getwestlondon, his club Ostersund’s chairman Daneil Kinberg has said the 23-year-old winger could leave if they fail to reach the Europa League tonight:

“It’s not just from the Balkans interest comes, but there are also several other clubs that are interested. It is a misconception that we have rejected any bid. We have said that we will be following this up after our match in the Europa League against PAOK.”

QPR – an interested party, might not have long to wait, then.

The Verdict

It’s clear that Holloway wants Ghoddos to arrive at Loftus Road as soon as possible and the R’s might not have that long to wait now.

Indeed, there’ll be a few fans of the club keeping across the tie between Ostersund and PAOK – which is a rare sentence to be writing – and, in the nicest possible way, they’ll be hoping for a Greek victory.
