Queens Park Rangers expect to hear the extent of Luke Amos's injury within the next 24 hours as they prepare to face Preston North End on Wednesday night in the Sky Bet Championship, as per West London Sport.

The Hoops earned a point away at AFC Bournemouth at the weekend but perhaps felt as though they could have won the game on another day and that in itself is a positive sign.

They'll be looking to build on that with a win over a Preston side that lost on Sunday afternoon at home to Cardiff, then, but whether Amos features on not remains to be seen.

As per the report, the hope is that the knock is not going to be too bad for the midfielder but, with so many games on the horizon, even the slightest issue can have you missing for two or three matches.

We'll soon see what the damage is, then.

The Verdict

This is why Mark Warburton was so keen to add to his side because if one player gets injured this season, even slightly, it could see them miss a handful of games.

Amos' injury will be fully revealed in the near future and we'll just have to see what that means for the Preston game on Wednesday.
